Cancellation Policy
At Coastline Paradises , we are committed to offering guests a transparent, secure, and reliable booking experience. All of our vacation rentals are managed by Coastline Paradises , a professional short-term rental and property management company based in California. This policy explains how cancellations, modifications, and refunds are handled depending on the selected rate plan and payment method.
1. Booking Channels and Payment Methods
All reservations for our vacation rentals are processed exclusively through Airbnb.com or Booking.com. Reservations cannot be made directly on our website or through any other channel.
Guests can choose between two verified and secure payment options, both fully protected by the booking platform used for the reservation.
A. Platform Payments (Airbnb.com / Booking.com)
- Guests complete full payment at the time of booking directly through the platform.
- The booking platform collects and securely holds the payment until the guest completes their stay.
- After checkout, the payout is released to Coastline Paradises.
- An additional 10% service fee charged by the platform covers payment handling, booking protection, and customer support.
- Guests may cancel free of charge up to 10 days before check-in.
- Cancellations made within 10 days of check-in are non-refundable.
- Refunds and cancellations are processed directly by Airbnb or Booking.com according to their respective policies and timelines.
This option ensures full platform protection and automated, verified transactions.
B. Host Payment Option (via Stripe)
- Communication and booking confirmation remain entirely within the Airbnb or Booking.com message system to ensure compliance and transparency.
- Guests receive a secure Stripe payment link, generated by our team and sent through the official booking platform chat and email.
- Payments can be completed using a credit or debit card or bank transfer.
- Upon successful payment, guests automatically receive a digital invoice and payment receipt.
- This payment option continues to be covered by the platform’s guest protection policy, since all communication and transaction records remain within the official reservation system.
- Guests who select this option benefit from lower rates, since there are no booking platform fees applied for handling the payment.
2. Rate Plans and Cancellation Terms
A. Standard Rate
- Guests may cancel free of charge up to 10 days before check-in.
- A deposit equal to one night’s stay must be paid within 72 hours of booking to confirm the reservation.
- The remaining balance is due at check-in.
- Cancellations made within 10 days of check-in will incur a charge equal to one night’s stay.
- Refunds, if applicable, are issued within 3 business days to the original payment method.
This plan offers flexibility for guests who prefer refundable bookings and a smaller upfront payment.
B. Promotional Rate
- Guests receive up to a 25% discount compared to the Standard Rate.
- Full payment is required within 72 hours of booking to confirm the reservation.
- Guests may cancel their reservation at any time prior to the check-in date.
- For cancellations made more than 10 days before check-in, a cancellation fee equal to one night’s stay will apply.
- Cancellations made within 10 days of the check-in date are non-refundable.
- In exceptional cases, Coastline Paradises may offer a one-time courtesy date change (based on availability) without issuing a refund.
This plan offers our best available pricing for guests with confirmed travel dates.
3. Modifications to Reservations
A. More Than 10 Days Before Check-In
- Guests may request a date change or property change up to 10 days before check-in, subject to availability.
- Any rate difference resulting from the modification will be charged or refunded accordingly.
B. Within 10 Days of Check-In
- Reservation changes made within 10 days of arrival are subject to approval and may incur additional fees depending on availability and occupancy.
4. Early Departures and No-Shows
- Early Departure: Guests who check out earlier than scheduled will not receive a refund for unused nights.
- No-Show: Guests who do not arrive on the check-in date will be charged for the first night’s stay, and the remainder of the reservation will be canceled automatically.
5. Force Majeure
In the event of natural disasters, travel restrictions, or other unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of Coastline Paradises , cancellation and rescheduling requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Whenever possible, guests may be offered a future-stay credit or a partial refund, depending on the situation and operational feasibility.
6. Security Deposit
- Some vacation rentals may require a refundable security deposit, which will be clearly indicated on each listing.
- The deposit covers potential damages, missing items, or excessive cleaning fees.
- If no issues are reported after checkout, the deposit is refunded within 3 to 5 business days to the original payment method.
7. Refund Processing Timeline
- Refunds are initiated within 1 to 3 business days after approval.
- Funds typically appear in the guest’s account within 5 to 10 business days, depending on the guest’s bank or card issuer.
- Refunds are always issued to the original payment method used for the booking.
8. Important Notes
- Guests should carefully review the cancellation terms displayed on the Airbnb.com or Booking.com listing before completing their reservation.
- By confirming a booking, whether through these platforms or via a secure Stripe payment link, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood, and accepted this policy.
- All payments are processed through verified, secure systems and remain covered by the same guest protection standards provided by the booking platform used for the reservation.

Policy Changes
